2. Authorization for Diagnosis and Repair
The customer confirms they own the device or are authorized by its owner to request service.
By signing this agreement, the customer authorizes Discount Fix Phone Repair to perform the diagnostic inspection described on the service order.
Diagnostic authorization does not automatically authorize paid repairs. Before beginning repair work, Discount Fix Phone Repair will explain the recommended service, disclose the estimated charges, and obtain the customer's approval.
Any additional repairs or increases in the approved price require further customer authorization before the work proceeds.
3. Diagnostic Fees and Estimates
Diagnostic fees, if applicable, will be disclosed before the inspection begins.
The written estimate will identify, as applicable:
- Recommended repair services
- Replacement parts and their condition or type
- Labor charges
- Diagnostic fees
- Mobile service or travel charges
- Applicable taxes
- Estimated total cost
The customer may accept or decline the repair estimate.
No additional paid repair work will be performed without authorization.
4. Replacement Parts
Discount Fix Phone Repair may use original equipment manufacturer (OEM), compatible aftermarket, or refurbished replacement parts when appropriate.
The type of replacement part will be disclosed before installation and identified in the repair estimate or invoice.
Certain replacement components may have separate supplier or manufacturer warranties.
Discount Fix Phone Repair does not guarantee that compatible replacement parts will have every characteristic of the original manufacturer component.
5. Customer Data and Privacy
Customers are strongly encouraged to back up important data before submitting a device for repair.
Discount Fix Phone Repair will take reasonable precautions to safeguard customer devices and information.
Technicians will access personal data only when reasonably necessary for an authorized repair or functional test.
Customers should remove sensitive information or use available maintenance or repair modes when feasible. Device passwords and account credentials should not be submitted through the public website's repair request forms.
If temporary device access is necessary, it will be requested separately using an appropriate secure method.
Discount Fix Phone Repair will not intentionally erase customer data without authorization, except where required by law. If a repair requires a reset or other potentially destructive procedure, the customer will be informed and asked for approval.
Although reasonable precautions will be taken, certain hardware failures and repair procedures may involve a risk of data loss. This agreement does not waive liability that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Existing Damage and Repair Risks
Some devices may have existing damage that affects repair feasibility, including liquid damage, corrosion, damaged connectors, failing batteries, previous repair damage, or internal component failures.
These conditions may not be visible until the device is inspected.
We will document relevant visible conditions and notify customers if additional damage is discovered.
If further repair work is necessary, an updated estimate will be provided for customer approval.
For devices previously exposed to liquid, restoration of functionality or long-term reliability cannot be guaranteed.
7. Repair Timeframes
Repair completion times are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines unless expressly agreed in writing.
Completion may depend on:
- Replacement-part availability
- Device condition
- Required testing
- Appointment availability
- Unforeseen technical complications
Customers will be informed of significant delays.
8. Payment Terms
Payment is due when authorized services are completed and the device is ready to be returned, unless different terms have been agreed upon in writing.
Any required deposits, special-order parts charges, cancellation fees, or travel charges must be disclosed and accepted before they are incurred.
An itemized invoice will be provided for completed paid repairs.
If a customer declines an estimate, only previously authorized charges, if any, will be due.
9. 30-Day Limited Workmanship Warranty
Discount Fix Phone Repair provides a 30-Day Limited Workmanship Warranty for eligible completed repairs.
The warranty covers defects directly resulting from the repair workmanship.
The warranty does not ordinarily cover new accidental damage, liquid exposure, unrelated device failures, or normal wear.
Warranty claims and remedies are governed by the separate Discount Fix Phone Repair Warranty Policy, subject to applicable law.
Warranty period: 30 calendar days from completion and return of the repaired device.
10. Mobile and On-Site Repairs
Discount Fix Phone Repair serves the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
On-site repairs require a confirmed appointment.
Applicable travel fees, if any, will be disclosed before appointment confirmation.
Customers agree to provide a reasonably safe and suitable working environment for the agreed service.
Technicians may postpone work when conditions make safe repair impractical.
11. Uncompleted or Uncollected Repairs
If a repair cannot be completed, Discount Fix Phone Repair will explain the reason and identify any previously authorized charges.
Customers will be contacted to arrange device return or collection when applicable.
Any procedures relating to uncollected devices, storage fees, or disposal must comply with applicable law and be separately disclosed before enforcement.
12. Customer Acknowledgment and Approval
The customer confirms that:
- They are authorized to request service on the device.
- The device condition and reported problems have been described accurately to the best of their knowledge.
- They understand that diagnostics and repairs may involve technical risks.
- They have been informed of and accepted applicable charges before work begins.
- They understand the 30-day limited workmanship warranty.
- Additional paid repairs require separate approval.
This agreement does not eliminate rights or remedies that customers may have under applicable law.
